Biographical Information[edit]
Viktor Kemen from Odessa was a team handball player before getting into baseball. He was on the USSR national team in the 1990 Goodwill Games and started their historic opener against Team USA. With a fastball hitting 74 mph at its best, he lasted two innings. [1] He was 0-1 with a 9.75 ERA in the 1991 Intercontinental Cup, beating the team ERA of 10.64; his loss came against Mexico. [2]
