Víctor López has played for the Spanish national team.

López hit .375/.421/.518 for the Marlins Puerto Cruz in 2007. That earned him a spot on Spain's roster in the 2007 Baseball World Cup. In that event, he was 1 for 9 with an error as Jose Luis Riera's backup at first base. He was 0 for 5 with a walk and three strikeouts in the 2008 Final Olympic Qualification Tournament, backing up Dewis Navarro at catcher and Alejandro Freire at first.

He hit .261/.344/.342 for the 2009 Marlins. In the 2010 European Cup, he batted .278/.316/.333.
