Biographical Information[edit]

Vic LaRose played in four games for the 1968 Chicago Cubs. He started one game, playing shortstop and batting eighth on September 14th against the Philadelphia Phillies, going 0 for 2 with a strikeout; he was also hit by a pitch. Larry Jackson was the only pitcher he ever faced in the major leagues. LaRose appeared as a defensive substitute at shortstop and second base in three other games. He committed one error at shortstop on September 13th, his major league debut. He replaced José Arcia during that game.
