Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Vern Kindsfather played eleven seasons of minor league ball, primarily in the Pacific Northwest. He spent several years with the Seattle Rainiers of the Pacific Coast League. In 1952, he posted a 21-11 record and a 2.40 ERA for the team, and he led the PCL with 19 complete games and 7 shutouts in 1953. In 1957, he threw a seven-inning perfect game for the Salem Senators of the Northwest League, and he managed the club for a portion of the following season. He later went on to serve as baseball coach at Clark College for 25 years, retiring in 1986.
