Verle Tifenthaler pitched in 3 games for the Chicago White Sox in 1962. He gave up at least 1 walk in every appearance. He gave up a grand slam to Bill Bruton in his major league debut.
He went 13-6 for the 1961 Tacoma Giants. He was also with them a bit in 1960, going 1-0. Juan Marichal was on the team in 1960 and Gaylord Perry was on the team in 1961. One source states that Gaylord and Verle roomed together in the minors.
