Personally, I think it makes more sense to use an ump's first big league game on their pages rather then when they were full-time staff umps. For players, we use when they made their big league debuts, not when they first became an everyday player, right? Maybe in terms of seniority and service the other works, but to Joe Fan, I think they became a big league ump when they worked their first game. -Chisoxfan 22:45, 8 August 2006 (EDT)
