Biographical Information[edit]

Shortstop Troy Cameron was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the first round of the 1997 amateur draft. He had attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, FL. In the minors, he played mostly third base. Although he hit as many as 22 home runs in a season, both his batting average and strikeouts rates were unimpressive, so he never reached the Major Leagues. In fact, he barely reached above Double-A, playing only 10 games in Triple-A in his career. He last played professional baseball in 2005.
