Triple-A Alliance

From BR Bullpen

The Triple-A Alliance was a partnership between the American Association and International League that began with the 1988 season and ended after the 1991 season. The two leagues played an interleague schedule and had one slate of officers and umpires while maintaining individual statistical records. A championship was held between the two leagues, known as the Triple-A Classic. Harold Cooper was the commissioner of the Alliance. The IL voted to end the Alliance during the 1991 Triple-A All Star Game.
