Tri-State Collegiate League
League History[edit]
Founded in 2006 , and comprised of college players from across the country, the Tri-State Collegiate League is a Summer Collegiate Baseball league based out of Gahanna, OH. Many of the TSCL teams were members of the short lived Erie Shores Collegiate League. The ESCL suffered some severe financial failings, but the league was fairly successful in developing high standards of competition. The TSCL was formed to preserve the premier teams of the Erie Shores league and hopes to carry out the tradition of competition.
Each team in the TSCL operates in a similar manner to a professional minor league team, although all players were unpaid in order to maintain NCAA eligibility. TSCL teams provide players an opportunity to play at a Minor League style of play using wooden bats, minor league specification baseballs, experiencing overnight road trips and playing nightly before fans in a stadium.
