OF Trey Amburgey made his debut with the New York Yankees on July 16, 2021, against the Boston Red Sox, after the team had been hit by an outbreak of COVID-19, forcing them to place six players on the injured list and to postpone the previous day's scheduled game. Amburgey started in right field in place of Aaron Judge, one of the players affected, and went 0 for 2 in a 4-0 loss.
