Biographical Information[edit]
Travis Fitta served as an infantryman in the U.S. army from 2009-2015. He spent 2018-2019 working at a series of baseball academies and training sites with an emphasis upon hitting development. These included SnapDragon Baseball, the Texas Pitching Institute, USA Baseball, and the Next Level Baseball Academy. Fitta moved to the college ranks for five months in 2019 as director of hitting development for the Ohio University Bobcats.
The Chicago Cubs hired Fitta in late 2019 to be the Eugene Emeralds assistant hitting coach before the 2020 season was cancelled due to the coronavirus epidemic.
