Biographical Information[edit]
Tracy Hoag played four seasons in the minors. His son Myril Hoag played in the majors and brother Oliver Hoag played in the minors.
Hoag debuted in 1906 with the Fresno Raisin Eaters, going 2-10 with a 4.72 ERA. In '07, he went 1-2 with a 2.17 ERA for the San Francisco Seals. He split 1908 between the Stockton Millers and Santa Cruz Sand Crabs, with a 17-7 record and .247 batting average. He was 8th in the California League in wins, between Doc Moskiman and Roscoe Miller. In 1909, he went 8-3 and hit .201 between three California League squads.
He started in semi-pro ball in 1905, and after his pro career was over he played semi-pro ball until 1926. In the earlier years his brother Ollie Hoag was usually on the same team, and in 1926 he was the teammate of his son Myril Hoag.
