Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Toshiyasu Ogawa had one dazzling year in Nippon Pro Baseball. He hit .477/.521/.636 in 11 games in the spring 1936 season for the Osaka Tigers and then batted .287/.425/.352 in the fall campaign, 7th in the Japanese Professional Baseball League. His career line was .342/.448/.434. After the year ended, he was drafted into the Japanese military and he was killed in combat in China during World War II.
