Biographical Information[edit]
Toon Verzijlberg had a long career in baseball and softball.
A first baseman, he began playing for EHS in 1949 and reached the Hoofdklasse in 1954. He retired after the 1959 season and coached SC Haarlem in the second-highest league in 1960 and was assistant for EHS in the top Dutch league in 1961. He was also an umpire in the Netherlands in the early 1960s. He then spent decades as a women's softball coach and umpire and won three national titles. He was equipment manager for the Dutch women's national team for years as well.
