Biographical Information[edit]

Tony Wesoloski pitched in the New York Giants system from 1947 to 1950 and from 1953 to 1954. He began his career with a 18-10 record, 20 complete games, 221 strikeouts and a 3.67 ERA in 35 games (238 innings pitched) for the Springfield Giants in 1947, though he also walked 141 batters and posted a 1.529 WHIP. Between two clubs in 1948, he went 7-3, then he was 12-9 with 12 complete games and a 3.97 ERA in 33 games (195 IP) for the Trenton Giants in 1949. He allowed 169 hits and 117 walks for a 1.467 WHIP. He slipped to 8-11, 4.16 for the Triple-A Jersey City Giants in 1950, walking 102 batters and striking out just 69 in 173 innings. He served in the United States military during the Korean War from 1951 to January 1953, then resumed his career in 1953 He went a combined 10-21 in 1953 and 1954 to wrap up his career.

Overall, Wesoloski was 55-54 over six seasons. He had at least 53 complete games. He was also decent with the batting. hitting .250 in 112 at-bats in 1947 and .218 in 55 at-bats in 1950.
