Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Tony Komisar played in the minor leagues from 1955 to 1958 and from 1961 to 1962. He was 12-11 with a 2.94 ERA for the Leesburg Braves his second season, then followed that with a 10-10 mark in 1957 and a 13-14 mark in 1958. In 1962, his final campaign, he was 12-10 with a Midwest League-leading 2.10 ERA for the Cedar Rapids Braves; he started 13 of his 35 appearances, completing 10 games and shutting out four. On August 12, against the Clinton C-Sox, he tossed a no-hitter.
Overall, Komisar was 51-46 in six seasons.
He served in the Army in 1959 and 1960.
