Biographical Information

Ton Benningshof coached in the Hoofdklasse. His sons Tony and Marcel played in the Hoofdklasse.

Ton pitched for HOV and SCR in Rotterdam in the 1960s and 1970s. He was an umpire in Rotterdam for 7 years and coached youth baseball. He coached for Gouda (1973), Sparta (1974-1975), was head coach of Neptunus (1976-1977, when the team was not in the Hoofdklasse), Vlaardingen-Holy (1978) and Sparta (1980). He was later chairman of the board for Sparta. In 1982, he coached a youth team from Rotterdam that toured the US - players included Bob van Aalen, Eric de Bruin and Marcel Kruyt. He was head coach of Zwijndrecht in 2010.
