Biographical Information[edit]
Tommy Thevenow holds the record for most consecutive at bats without a home run, with 3,347 - a streak that ran from 1926 to the end of his career in 1938. But he knew how to pick his moments, since his last home run came in Game 2 of the 1926 World Series; it was an inside-the-park homer, as were the other two he hit in his major league career, both coming in September of 1926.
He ran a grocery store after his baseball days.
He was inducted into the Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame in 2001.
