Baseball Information[edit]
Tommy Kawamura played baseball at Willamette University from 2011-2014 and graduated with a degree in mathematics & economics. While there, he developed an interest in baseball analytics. His first job out of college was a Video Scout Intern position with Baseball Info Solutions. Kawamura then spent 2015 with the New York Mets as a Baseball Operations Intern.

He stayed in the same position with Corpus Christi in 2017, but dropped the Bandits from his portfolio. After the 2017 season Kawamura joined the Astros' advance scouting department and was promoted to manager of the unit in late 2020. For the 2023 season, he joined manager Dusty Baker's major league coaching staff with the title of Game Planning Coach, a title he retained in 2024 as well.
