Biographical Information[edit]

Tommy Hunter was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 1st round of the 2007 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Jeff Wood for $585,000 and made his pro debut that summer.

Hunter got rocked in each of his first two major league starts for the Texas Rangers, giving up 6 runs in 5 innings against the Toronto Blue Jays on August 1, 2008, and then coughing up 5 more in 4⅓ innings against the New York Yankees on August 6.
