Tomas Börjes allowed two runs in two innings for Sweden in the 2001 European Championship. For the 2004 Rättvik Butchers, he hit .200/.285/.312 and was 2-2 with a 3.50 ERA. In 2005, he batted .263/.395/.315 for the Leksand Lumberjacks. He did not play in the 2006 Elitserien and was 3 for 8 for Gefle in 2007. In 2008, he returned to the Butchers and produced at a .276/.425/.295 rate; he allowed 29 steals and threw out 16 runners as a catcher.
