Biographical Information[edit]
Tom Veryzer's father, John, was a star basketball player at Manhattan College and his brother, Jim Veryzer, was an outfielder in the Detroit Tigers chain in 1971-1972. Tom was a member of the 1984 NL East Champion Chicago Cubs.
He passed away in July 2014, one week after suffering a stroke.
