Biographical Information[edit]

Tom Stack-Babich played briefly in the independent leagues in 2009.

Stack-Babich was born in England and moved to the US when he was four. He helped his team win the state title as a senior. He was at Wake Forest University briefly then transferred to Harvard University. He hit .237/.292/.373 in 2006. In 2007, he batted .313/.353/.464 and made Honorable Mention All-Ivy League as an outfielder. He was originally named to Great Britain's roster for the 2007 European Championship but could not play after breaking his hamate bone during a scrimmage.

During 2008, Tom hit .375/.400/.646 in 15 games for Harvard, his time limited by a wrist injury. As a senior, Stack-Babich batted .303/.371/.542 with 8 home runs and was 1-0 with two saves and a 3.68 ERA; he again was Honorable Mention All-Ivy League. He then signed with the Southern Illinois Miners and batted .222/.255/.444 with 3 homers in 16 games.
