Biographical Information[edit]

Third baseman Tom Redington was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1987 amateur draft by the Atlanta Braves.

Redington led South Atlantic League 3B with 103 put-outs, 243 assists, 376 chances, 20 double plays, and 30 errors in 1988. In 1989, he led the Midwest League with 17 HR and was named the league's top prospect by Baseball America, despite spending over a month in AA. He was the MWL MVP in 1989, however he never made the majors.
