Biographical Information

Tom Lipp pitched one game in the majors in 1897. His minor league career started in 1894 and ran through 1905, usually in the Northeast or the South.

With the 1897 Phillies he was five years older than teammate Nap Lajoie, who was playing his first full year in the majors.

He has lost but one game this season -- that against the Philadelphia League team on April 15.
