Biographical Information

Tom Kruta pitched three years in the minors. He debuted with the 1948 Ardmore Indians, going 4-15 with 144 walks in 147 innings and a 4.84 ERA. He led the Sooner State League with 186 strikeouts. He split 1949 between the Tucson Cowboys and El Paso Texans, going 4-6 with a 7.85 ERA and 93 walks in 78 innings. He pitched 10 more games for El Paso in 1950.
