Tom Grubbs appeared in one major league game. It was at the end of the season and he went the first three innings without being scored upon. Frankie Frisch was clean-up hitter for his team and the opposing team included Casey Stengel in right field.
Grubbs was the second major leaguer to come out of the University of Kentucky.
