Biographical Information[edit]

Tom Giordano played pro baseball from 1948 to 1959, making it to the major leagues for 11 games with the Philadelphia Athletics in 1953. He managed in the minor leagues from 1956 to 1959 and 1969. Giordano scouted for the Kansas City/Oakland A's (1964-1968), Seattle Pilots (1969), Milwaukee Brewers (1970-1972) and Montreal Expos (1973-1975). He was the Baltimore Orioles' scouting director from 1976 to 1981, then farm director from 1982 to 1987.

As of 2013, Giordano was a special adviser to the General Manager for the Texas Rangers, a position he had held since at least 2008. he passed away in February 2019 at the age of 93.
