Outfielder Tom DeLong played one season of minor league baseball in the Detroit Tigers organization, splitting the 1965 season between the Jamestown Tigers (.246 AVG, .309 SLG in 236 AB) and Daytona Beach Islanders (.214 AVG, .254 SLG in 173 AB). After his playing days, he was a high school teacher and coach and later was a Tampa Bay Rays scout.
