Biographical Information[edit]
Tom Daley played four seasons in the majors. His best year was 1914, when he posted an on-base percentage of .369.
There are two players named "Tom Daly" but he is the only one named Tom Daley.
His nickname was "Pete" although there is a later ballplayer by the name Pete Daley, who was a catcher. Tom was known as "Pete Daley" when he played for the minor league Los Angeles team in 1909-1912, although The Pacific Coast League: A Statistical History lists him as "T. Daley".
Notable Achievement[edit]
- Won a World Series with the Philadelphia Athletics in 1913 (he did not play in the World Series).
