Tom Burns

Biographical Information

Tom Burns has scouted for the Toronto Blue Jays (2003-2013, 2019-present?), Philadelphia Phillies (2018), Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau (2015-2018), San Diego Padres (2013-2015) and Los Angeles Angels (1995-2003). He was inducted into the Professional Scouts Hall of Fame in 2009 and won the A.B. "Turk" Karam Award in 2012.

He has signed, among others, Brett Cecil, Mike Colangelo, Frank Gailey, Jack Murphy, Scott Schoeneweis and Anthony Whittington.

He had previously coached at Bishop McDevitt High School from 1988 to 1994.
