Biographical Information[edit]

Tom Arrington played briefly in the minors before becoming a successful college coach.

Drafted by the Texas Rangers in 1983, Arrington pitched for the Salt Lake City Trappers in 1985, going 9-4 with a 3.16 ERA before moving on to the Montreal Expos organization and playing for the Burlington Expos in 1986.

He coached the College of Marin in 1998-1999. Beginning in 2001, Arrington was head coach at San Jacinto Junior College. He has led the school to the NJCAA Division I Baseball World Series nine times, finishing as runner-up in 2003, 2004, 2010, and 2012. He resigned in December 2023 to focus on his recovery from a back injury which requires his "immediate attention."
