Outfielder Toine Jager played briefly for the Dutch national team.
As a high school senior, Jager was an exchange student in the US. He spent 1994 in the Eerste Klasse with Kinheim-2. In 1995, he debuted with Kinheim in the Hoofdklasse, hitting .259 and slugging .358. He was 1 for 6 with a run and a RBI in the 1995 Holland Series, which Kinheim lost to Neptunus. He improved to .371 with a .495 slugging in 1996 and scored 27 runs in 33 games. He missed the 1996 Holland Series due to injury as Kinheim lost to HCAW. In 1997, he hit .333 and slugged .482. He was 8 for 25 with a double and a homer in the 1997 World Port Tournament. In the 1997 European Championship, he hit .500 and slugged .688 for the Netherlands as they won the Silver Medal. He tied for 6th in the event with 9 runs. He hit .330 and slugged .509 for Kinheim in 1998 and put up a .333 average in 1999. He remained active through at least 2003.
