Biographical Information[edit]

Tod Miller was a one-time candidate for first base with the New York Giants at Gainesville, FL, but he fell and spent his time in the minors instead. He peaked at A-ball with the St. Joseph Saints in 1919 (his first year, going 11 for 39), then played D-ball with three other teams until he hung up his hat in 1921. With the 1920 Durham Bulls, he hit .282/?/.402. His 7 triples tied for the Piedmont League lead. He batted .261 and slugged .392 for the 1921 Enid Harvesters and Pawhuska Huskers.

He was at the Great Lakes Naval Training Station around the time of World War I where he won the middleweight boxing championship. He also spent time on a destroyer in foreign waters.
