Biographical Information

Tobi Stoner was born in Landstuhl, Germany, near the air force base where his father was stationed.

Stoner was discovered by accident during a game when he struck out 15 batters; scout Matt Wondolowski had attended the game to scout his opponent on the mound. He was drafted by the New York Mets in the 16th round of the 2006 amateur draft.
