Thomas Gabriel Van Cott

Biographical Information[edit]

Thomas Van Cott was a pitcher for the New York Washingtons in 1851 before joining the New York Gothams of the National Association of Base Ball Players where he played from 1852 to 1855. He played for the Brooklyn Eckfords in 1856, before returning to the Gothams for 1857, and remained with the club until 1860. He was the father of Theodore Van Cott, brother of William Van Cott, and the half-brother of Gabriel Van Cott.
