The Dog That Called the Pitch

The Dog That Called the Pitch, written by Matt Christopher and published posthumously in 1998, is about a boy named Mike and his dog, Harry, with whom he has a telepathic relationship. In this story, the third in a series, Harry the dog winds up calling the pitches at the end of the game after the umpire's glasses break, as the umpire also has telepathy. As the game winds down, the question arises of whether Harry will call them accurately if it hurts the Giants.
