Biographical Information[edit]

Tex Vache played one year in the big leagues, at age 35. Appearing with the 1925 Boston Red Sox which lost 105 games, he hit .313 on a team whose batting average was .266. He appeared in 110 games, of which only 53 were in the field.

The SABR Minor League Newsletter (July 2001) lists Vache as having hit .329 during 7 years in the minors, but says the stats are subject to further review.

The Hanford Morning Journal, March 15 1921, reports his 1920 stats for Regina. According to it, he hit .351 with 5 homers, 16 doubles, 11 triples, 56 runs scored, 19 stolen bases, 24 sacrifices, and 131 hits in 373 at-bats.
