Biographical Information[edit]
Tetsuya Nagano was a pitcher who represented Japan in the 1990 Baseball World Cup and 1990 Asian Games. As Japan's closer in the World Cup, he had a 3.95 ERA and 17 K in 13 1/3 IP, saving three games: four-inning saves for Eiji Ochiai against South Korea and Puerto Rico plus Hideo Koike's victory versus Canada. He was the only hurler in that Cup with multiple saves. He played for Osaka Gas in the Industrial League after college.
