Biographical Information[edit]
Tetsu Anan was a pitcher for Japan in the 2009 Baseball World Cup. The Orix Buffaloes took him in the 5th round of the 2009 NPB draft. He debuted on March 27, 2010, retiring the only batter he faced. He allowed 17 runs in 14 innings in his rookie year. Anan spent the next two seasons mainly in the NPB Farm Leagues, only had 5 appearances combined. The Buffaloes traded him with Ryota Katsuki to the Yomiuri Giants for Shun Tono and Kazunao Yamamoto after the 2012 season, but Anan still struggled. The Oita native only pitched 6 games with the big club for the Giants, then announced his retirement after the 2016 season.
Overall, Anan was 1-0 with a 6.56 ERA, struck out 25 and pitched 35 2/3 innings in 4 seasons in NPB.
