Biographical Information[edit]
Terry McKaig was the first head coach of the University of British Columbia, when they began their baseball program in 1998. He was 257-163-1 in the first 10 seasons after joining the NAIA. In 2006, he led the team to a 49-14 record and a trip to the 2006 NAIA College World Series (where they placed 4th). McKaig was the college coach for Jeff Francis. He also coached Team Canada in the 2004 World University Championship and 2008 World University Championship.
McKaig stepped aside as head coach after the 2016 season with a 548-353-1 record into a newly created position of Director of baseball at UBC.
