Biographical Information[edit]
Terrence Dayleg began his minor league career in 2009.
Dayleg played for Canada in the 2004 World Junior Championship, then was picked by the San Diego Padres in the 42nd round of the 2005 amateur draft. After a year at junior college, he hit .320 for Western Kentucky in 2007. He batted .121/.203/.155 for the Harwich Mariners in the Cape Cod League that summer. In 2008, he batted .347 for Western Kentucky. His senior year, he hit .327/.412/.468 and fielded .959 at shortstop.
The Florida Marlins chose Datleg in the 22nd round of the 2009 amateur draft. He hit .269/.377/.392 in 35 games for the 2009 GCL Marlins and briefly made it to A ball, then was with Canada for the 2009 Baseball World Cup.
