In 1911 the Terre Haute Stags became the Terre Haute Miners. The Central League club went 45-91 and finished last in the 8-team league by over 10 games. The team had batting champion Connolly (.355/~.452/.510) part of the year, but he also played for the Zanesville, OH club. The next season the Terre Haute, IN team was the Terre Haute Terre-iers.
