Tennessee Walkers
The Tennessee Walkers of Tullahoma, Tennessee joined the independent Big South League in 1997. However, just weeks into their first season, the team ran into financial problems and was taken over by the league. They played the remainder of their games on the road. Under the guidance of skipper Jeff McCall, the club finished in last place in both halves of the season, posting a terrible 8-52 record overall. After the season, the league ceased operations, and the Walkers were put out of their misery. Their attendance of 9,956 was last in the league.
