- 1922 - Charlie Robertson throws the only perfect game of the live ball era. The White Sox rookie blanks the Tigers, 2-0.
- 1970 - Billy Williams becomes the first National League player to appear in 1,000 consecutive games.
- 1996 - Jeff King (pictured) homers twice in one inning, the third player in major league history to do so twice in his career. The Pirates beat the Reds, 10-7.
- 2006 - Yomiuri Giants SS Tomohiro Nioka hits two grand slams in a 15-4 win over the Chunichi Dragons, tying Akira Eto's Central League single-game RBI record of ten.
- 2019 - CC Sabathia becomes the 17th pitcher, but just the third lefthander, to reach 3,000 strikeouts as he fans John Ryan Murphy in the 2nd inning of a 3 - 1 loss to the Diamondbacks.
