Biographical Information[edit]

Ted Rohde was the first player to be drafted from Sierra High School in Tollhouse, CA, by the San Francisco Giants in the 20th round of the 1966 Amateur Draft. He went on to attend Fresno City College from where he was drafted twice; in the secondary phase of the January 1967 amateur draft by the Minnesota Twins, and again in the January 1968 amateur draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers, in the 4th round.

In 1968 the outfielder started his professional career with the Rookie-level Ogden Dodgers, where he hit .257 and was managed by Tommy Lasorda. In 1969 he split time between the Class-A Daytona Beach Dodgers of the Florida State League, and the Low-A Rogue Valley Dodgers of the Northwest League. He finished his career in 1970 playing for the Single-A DeLand Sun Caps, again in the Florida State League, where he hit .236 in 74 games.
