Biographical Information[edit]

Taylor Buchholz was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 6th round of the 2000 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Ken Hultzapple and made his pro debut that summer. Taylor pitched in five big league seasons between 2006 and 2011, missing all of 2009 after Tommy John surgery. His best season was 2008, when he emerged from the Colorado Rockies bullpen 63 times, pitching to a 6-6, 2.17 record with an 18/56 BB/K ratio in 66 1/3 innings.
