Biographical Information[edit]

Tarran Senay had wrist surgery as a junior in high school. As a senior, he hit .381 with 22 walks and scored 22 runs and was 2-0 with two saves. He was picked by the Detroit Tigers in the 38th round of the 2009 amateur draft but planned to attend North Carolina State University instead of signing. As a freshman, he hit .313/.459/.589 as a part-time outfielder. His sophomore year, he fell to .264/.391/.380. He produced at a .205/.289/.370 rate for the Orleans Firebirds in the 2011 Cape Cod League. A starter at NC State as a junior, he continued to slide, batting only .222/.323/.415.
