Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Tamotsu Uchibori spent eight years in Nippon Professional Baseball, playing for Tokyo Kyojin (1936-1937, 1946) and the Yomiuri Giants (1947-1951). He batted .203/.266/.232 with two home runs and 66 RBI in 832 at-bats in his career. In terms of plate appearances, he earned the most playing time in 1937, when he hit .211/.302/.231 with 40 walks and only 23 strikeouts in 308 PAs between the spring and fall seasons. In terms of games played, he earned the most playing time in 1948, when he hit .189/.238/.235 in 95 games.
