Talk:Wichita, KS
The Western League page and this one disagree several times on team names, including the existance of a Wichita Wolves mentioned there and not here. What's going on? - --Mischa 03:04, 29 October 2006 (EST)
My source is Mike McCann's Minor League History web site [1]. I expect that a lot of the team names were fluid, especially before the 1920's , as they were concocted by newspaper reporters and not given by team officials. --Philippe 10:27, 29 October 2006 (EST)
- Johnson & Wolff: Jobbers 09-11, 12-13; Wolves 14-16; Witches 17; Jobbers 18-20; Witches 21-22
- Filichia: Jobbers 09-11; Witches 12-17; Jobbers 18-20; Witches 21-22
- McCann: Jobbers 09-11; Witches 12-16, 17-18; Jobbers 19-20; Witches 21-22
There's consensus on 09-11 (Jobbers), and 21-22 (Witches).
How do we rectify these? --Jeff 19:28, 30 June 2007 (EDT)
